Her Eminence Jetsunma Ahkön Lhamo and Kunzang Palyul Choling Buddhist Temple are working to send life saving medical supplies to the Ukraine.
Reviews of lethal wounds in autopsy reports reveal that nearly 24% of fatalities could have been prevented if early and effective pre-hospital treatments had been applied. Of those potentially preventable deaths, 85% were caused by uncontrolled hemorrhage. The U.S. is a global leader in developing and manufacturing hemostatic (literally: blood-stopping) wound treatment materials that save lives of wounded soldiers and civilians.
Please join KPC’s Buddhist Relief Initiative, inspired by HH Jetsunma Ahkon Lhamo, to raise funds quickly to purchase a quantity of highly effective U.S.-made hemostatic wound treatment materials directly from the manufacturer. Once purchased, these life-saving supplies will be shipped through an efficient logistical channel directly to a European hub for Ukraine-bound specialized shipments.
Because of the urgency of the need, we hope to raise an initial $6,000 by end of day Monday March 14 in order to place the order Tuesday March 15. We already have Jetsunma offering $1000 as a matching $1 for $1 donation as well as an anonymous donor who stepped forward with a pledge to cover shipping costs AND match $1 to $1 of the next $2,000 raised.
