Theme: The waning light of the Moon…

As the Moon wanes it’s time to seek completions and spend more time in contemplation and reflection. There is insight and optimism today as the Moon is situated between Jupiter and the White Moon. The Sun has moved into Libra focusing attention in the next month on diplomacy, harmony and friendships. Important decisions hang in the balance during this time: which is the best path forward? Theme: The Libra Scales

The Sun enters Libra just before mid day EDT. We all tend to be less decisive, (or do we?) for the next month. But happy birthday to all you gifted, charming Librans. This is a social and intellectual sign, but Mercury, our thought and communication remains in practical, analytical Virgo for a few more days. We have more inner balance than usual as the Moon is trining the Sun for much of the day.

Theme: Less Grounded

The grand trine in earth is still a stabilizing factor today, but there are 2 aspects that make us ungrounded. With the Sun opposed to Neptune we can be both confused and demoralized. Can we keep a healthy sense of self, and turn our compassion towards those in need? Mercury is also 90 degrees from Jupiter today. We are optimistic and can see the big picture, but should watch out for being sloppy with details, and being overbearing.

Theme: Grand Earth Trine

The Sun, Pluto and Uranus are all in earth (practical, sensual) signs today. And they make almost a perfect triangle in the sky, called a grand earth trine. There is a magnetizing energy about earth signs. And there should be ease in making both deep and sudden changes today. The Moon, indicating our emotions and subconscious, is exalted in the most earthy sign of all, Taurus, for a couple of days. This is a good time to feel emotionally connected with others.

The Moon conjunct Chiron today signals an emotional healing time of a past event. Take the opportunity to delve into what this might be. The past is not a foreign country and now, more than usual, it is close-by. There are also more synchronicities than usual with this aspect. With the Moon in Aries don’t let pent up emotions overrule you. These are the last days of Sun in Virgo. It’s a good time to connect with your body and integrate and ground yourself through whatever communication/reflection avenues best suit you.

Theme: Action stations!

The Moon moves into Aries today bringing a forthright, direct, ‘let’s do it’ energy into play. In combination with the Sun in Virgo it’s about getting things done. Continue to take advantage of Mercury in Virgo and it’s capacity to deal with the fine print and communicate details. You will have more helping hands today in your endeavors. You also benefit from some retreat time for contemplation and clarification purposes. Venus in Libra continues to provide a silver lining in relationship to others.

HH Dudjom Rinpoche says action is being truly observant of your own thoughts, good or bad, looking into the true nature of whatever thoughts may arise, neither tracing the past nor inviting the future, neither allowing any clinging to experiences of joy, nor being overcome by sad situations.

Theme: Finding the balance

Today, the Moon in Pisces is sandwiched between Saturn and Neptune, two of the most opposite of planets energetically speaking. Saturn rules the material plane: structure, foundations and cause and effect while Neptune rules the unconscious, suffering and compassion, both fear and the capacity for transcendence. Today you seek to find a balance between these qualities which manifests ordinarily as needing to be practical yet open-hearted, not give into negative emotions and yet seeing that nothing is ordinary, ultimately we’re all interconnected.

Theme: Temporary constraints

With the Moon conjunct Saturn today you may feel emotionally frustrated but keep your own counsel. This aspect also gives you the focus, tolerance and tenacity to overcome challenges. Theme: Social Ease

With Venus, The Moon and Jupiter making an air grand trine for much of the day, there is a nice flow of social energy. At the same time this is a day we can be prone to overindulging. The Sun, our sense of purpose is still tied into Jupiter with a square angle which is mostly helpful, if we don’t take on to much. At least 3 planets stay retrograde until next February. This continues to be a time of subtle inner change.

Socializing reminds us that we are not alone in our experiences and challenges. ~Unknown

Theme: Cool but Intense

Especially in the first half of the day, we are prone to intense emotional experiences. But as the Moon enters Aquarius in the morning we are cooler and more detached at the same time. Mercury is sextile with Mars for one more day, which gives us an assertive quality to our communication and thought. The Sun and Jupiter are at a right angle. Do it now, but be careful not to overdo it!
