Theme: Down to earth

The Moon has moved into Taurus giving some stability and grounding at this time. Taurus energy allows us to proceed slowly but surely in whatever direction we set ourselves. However, it’s worth also contemplating any rigidity we have within ourselves as Taurus is one of the fixed signs of the zodiac and while placid overall is incredibly stubborn. With the Sun also in an earth sign, Capricorn, it’s a good time to enact practical steps to achieve beneficial outcomes, including caring for the earth.

Theme: Challenges

With the new year beginning Mars opposite Pluto there are likely to be upheavals as power structures and powerful people are challenged by the collective will. It’s important to work towards developing a peaceful and stable mind to diminish the tension in one’s own sphere. Neptune and Saturn slowly move into Aries in March and May respectively which will enable more clarity in seeing how things really are – and yet create challenges in balancing our spiritual and practical needs. Nevertheless there is the prospect of giving life to our inner vision.

Theme: Striving and strength

The Moon in Capricorn moves closer to Pluto today focusing our attention on our motivations for achieving success. Pluto reminds us of the psychological hooks involved in personal ambition and getting what we want. With the Sun and Moon conjunct today there is potential for inner union. The Moon in Capricorn brings focus on practical matters and taking responsibility. Theme: Determined, Ambitious or Cruel

The powerful opposition between Mars and Pluto is back for another 2 weeks.This energy can be used for self awareness and accomplishing ones goals, either positive or negative. We can also have interpersonal struggles. But ultimately it signifies that our conscious will is at odds with our subconscious drives. The energy for expansion, Jupiter, is also at cross-purposes to the restrictive power of Saturn. This conflict also lasts for the next 2 weeks.
