There is impetus to speak honestly but  how will it be received? Are you on your high horse or a pony? And are your expectations realistic towards your family and friends. Expectations may lead to disappointment today. As Lama Tsering Everest said, ‘I am an opponent of expectation.’ However, spontaneous generosity is a positive way to work with this energy.  It’s also a doing rather than a feeling day.

Today how can you transform your loftiest ideals into a reality. What will it take? Sometimes emotional sacrifices are required to achieve the desired outcomes. Theme: Moody Blues

There is a moment in the day when the mood is a bit strange. There could be some confusion with others. Don’t worry and don’t nitpick. Better to focus on improving and fine tuning your communication  style. Being upfront can sometimes be misunderstood as bluntness. It’s a time to focus on details around health. You can also potentially deepen in your spiritual practice today – or at least have some insights. Some good news is highlighted – as is the environment. Theme: The day after

It’s a time for drilling down into more detail today included a closer analysis of situations. Efforts at improving communication can pay off notwithstanding the odd communication gremlin. You might feel more expressive today. It’s a nice time to connect with others emotionally. Creativity is enhanced  You may meet a new person who gives you a lift. Gregory Bateson has written that ‘The concept of communication  includes all of those processes by which people influence one another.’

Theme: Leaning into the Wind

Sometimes life throws us challenges and today is one of those days. As as one of Shakespeare’s character says ‘To thine own self be true’. This is helpful advice when dealing with adversity. Today if you’re feeling emotional about something stay put until you calm down. Sometimes a third-party can see things more clearly than you can, helping you see ‘outside the box‘.

Theme: Get enlightened!

Today is full of possibility and potential for your spiritual life. There is no time like the present. In fact given that efforts in the material and communication spheres are limited today there is an opportunity for spiritual practice and creativity. As Jetsunma Ahkon Lhamo says: ‘We have to develop the habit of putting some spaciousness into our mind in order to accomplish spaciousness at the time of our death.’  There may be some illumination around past wounds in relationship today. The salve begins with recognition of the wound and looking to the general welfare of others.

Theme: Give yourself a break

There is a tendency to be too hard on yourself at this time. What are ways you can be kinder to yourself? One way is not to compare yourself to others. We all have our own individual journeys to undertake including the different ways we understand. Be aware of slipping into fantasy land today and seeing what you want to see rather than what’s there. An antidote to this habit is to bring the mind home to the here and now. In a sense everything is dreamlike and illusory, but even so, humorously you go on doing things. For example, if you are walking, without unnecessary solemnity or self-consciousness, lightheartedly walk toward the open space of truth. Dudjom Rinpoche

Theme: High tide 

It’s the full moon and Mercury goes retrograde.  So it’s a time of high energy of potential misunderstandings. Communication glitches can be offset by not speaking as much! Don’t sign any contracts if you can help it until the 24th of December. You may feel a bit directionless today – another reason for spending time on your spiritual cushion.
