Theme: Letting go of the past

Today you can tackles tasks you have been mulling over. It’s the last day of the waning moon so it’s timely to let go of the past in in order to start afresh with the new moon tomorrow. You have more energy today but still need to pace yourself. Discipline and endurance are the keys. With Mars approaching an exact square with Pluto you need to become more aware of how your operate in situations where you don’t have free will. If human beings can simply decide on what they want to do and then do it, then forecasting is impossible. Free will is beyond forecasting. But what is most interesting about humans is how unfree they are.~George Friedman

Theme: 3 Friends

Gemini is known for having two sides, and today is no different with the Moon now there. She has Venus on one side and Mercury on the other. These three planets are very compatible, and if you have been feeling isolated before today, you will be talking, laughing and easily communicating feelings you haven’t shared for a long time. Gemini is unendingly curious, so no topic will be out of bounds. It is a time where you feel light hearted and gregarious. The only caution is to be careful of overindulgence in food and shopping.

Theme: Seize the Day

With Moon square Saturn it could be easy to feel isolated or depressed, but if this energy is used wisely, we can turn to introspection to evaluate one’s own suffering and that of others. Moon is also in positive aspect to Neptune that brings out our sympathy and compassion for others’ suffering, so both transits are perfect for the contemplation on the suffering of all sentient beings.

In Tonglen practice of giving and receiving, we take on, through compassion, all the various mental and physical sufferings of all beings…. and we give them through love, all our happiness and well being.

Theme: Conclusions

With the Moon entering it’s closing/dark phase it’s timely to complete, conclude and close projects and processes. It’s also a more inward, reflective time. The Moon in Taurus brings consistency and stability in emotions and daily routines. It’s a good time to focus on your physical, overall health and face head-on the challenges of any limitations. There is love and support for you if you know where to look. Fullness and emptiness without conceptualization are exactly the same. Theme: Standing still

Today is the solstice where the Sun reaches the highest or lowest point in the heavens and where the sun appears to stand still for a moment. It’s a time for marking the seasonal shifts in either the depths of winter or the heat of summer. The Moon moves into Aries today marking a shift in activity and sometimes emotional impulsiveness. The Sun moves into Cancer bringing the focus on family, nurturing, memories and imagination over the next month.

Theme: Disseminating wisdom

The last phase of the Moon is a time to pass on your experience to others and reflect on the results of your actions. There is a range of emotional attunement today as the Moon conjuncts Neptune and is in good aspect to Venus and Pluto. Physically you may feel out of sorts as Neptune transits are not often compatible with physical energy. However, a lack of energy can direct you towards inner contemplation and reflection that also enables you to ask enquiring spiritual questions.

There are questions that should be answered categorically [straightforwardly yes, no, this, that]. There are questions that should be answered with an analytical (qualified) answer [defining or redefining the terms]. There are questions that should be answered with a counter-question. Theme: The Hermit

Venus, Moon and Saturn are all in strong aspect with each other. For some there may be a strong pull to be close to others, but a feeling of isolation and loneliness arises. Others will feel a wish for introspection and retreat while feeling closely connected to all beings. All transits are impermanent but can bring awareness if we pay close attention.

As when a flash of lightning rends the night, and in its glare shows all the dark black clouds that hid, likewise rarely, through the Buddha’s power virtuous thoughts rise brief and transient in the world.
