Theme: Pick your battles

As the Sun heads towards Pluto it’s wise to consider how power influences relationships. The Sun-Pluto conjunction brings unconscious yearnings to the surface. It’s a test to make yourself aware and conscious of your patterns. But once you are aware of these patterns you can transform psychologically and be less at loggerheads with others. With the Moon in Virgo you have more discrimination and discernment.

Theme: See More Clearly and Play

Mercury is separating once again from the Sun and this gives us more objectivity. The Moon has entered Leo for a few days, enhancing our ability to be playful and creative. The Moon opposes Venus which is mostly a pleasant thing, but watch out for overindulging with food, drink or money. Theme: Intense Emotions and Conflicts

From mid morning through late in the day we are in for intense encounters with others. Power struggles are likely with those we are close to. After this Moon opposed to Pluto transit passes we can gain new insights. Despite Mercury retrograde, Uranus is stimulating our mind and we will come up with new solutions to old problems. For several days Venus and Mars are in harmony bringing many benefits associated with uniting female and male energies. A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger. ~ Solomon

Theme: Confusing, Exciting and Distant

Mercury Retrograde is peaking, and Mercury conjunct the Sun for 3 days gives us less objectivity than usual. Be prepared for confusion. Our purpose and thinking is excited by Uranus, so we are pleasantly restless. Venus has moved into Aquarius for 3 1/2 weeks which gives us a friendly approach to relationships, but also a coolness and detachment. Theme: Interesting…

With the Sun exactly trine Uranus today you could be in for some excitement – in a generally good way – if you’re prepared to be flexible. The Moon square Jupiter indicates feeling emotionally overwhelmed – remember you can only do your best. With the Moon in Cancer you are feeling more interior and home-focused. Other planetary aspects reinforce a sense of wanting to be more self-contained.

Theme: Balance

There is a good balance of active, mutable and fixed signs today but an imbalance in the fire element which can make it hard to ignite the spark that is necessary for forward movement. With the elements of air and earth predominating the focus is on practical communication and actions. The Moon in Gemini is a good friend when you are in need of more breezy encounters and conversations with others – but that also means you can skate over difficulties.

Theme: Letting some air in

With Venus moving into Aquarius and the Moon into Gemini there is more lightness to relating and connecting with others. Issues that seemed difficult lighten up. Venus in Aquarius invites us to participate in group activity for the benefit of others. Pluto is still close to Venus so everything is not all sweetness and light – but you don’t need to hold your breath! However, continue to hold your tongue – and count to 10.

Theme: Deepening connections

With Venus and Pluto almost conjunct, and in close proximity to Mercury, it’s a good time to uncover unconscious habits and tendencies and really deepen your understanding of yourself and others. With Mercury retrograde there is even more opportunity to be mindful of your speech and communications in general. The new Moon in Aries continues to spice up activity for a little while longer.

Theme: What will it be in 2023?

As usual there is a mixed bag for the new year. The best news is that the Sun, our purpose and conscious self, and the Moon, our emotions and subconscious self, are in 120 degree harmony. This indicates inner peace and harmony. Neptune conjunct with Juno is in a powerful position, showing the potential for spiritual union and transcendence in our relationships. On the down side there is misguided self-will this year. Can we make the needed adjustments? And finally Mercury is retrograde so expect an unusual amount of miscommunications and confusion.
