Precious Gifts

The following is from a series of tweets by Jetsunma Ahkon Lhamo:

I like reading my followers and meeting many kind hearted people out there. It nourishes me , too, that connection. I feel the love. So I come bearing gifts of compassion, community, and Dharma.

OM MANI PEDME HUNG

I feel the ripple of union with you all and thank you for your friendship. If I can help you that’s the best. Or you can help me, even that, but I’d rather it were you. Plus, since we are one, it’s got to be that way. That’s the way it is.

Silly beach talk from me to you. Although you already had it, and it was born and accomplished. I love you.

The following is from a series of tweets by Jetsunma Ahkon Lhamo:

Venerable Tulku Dawa Rinpoche arrived this evening to many welcoming hearts at KPC this evening. It is lovely to have him! He teaches tomorrow night.

He is a devout disciple of His Holiness Penor Rinpoche. I feel comfortable with his energy, he is Palyul. His knowledge is a mine of jewels as he has studied well and worked hard.

Please join us this weekend if you are in the D.C. area, or tune in to the webcast!

Just back from Phys Therapy. Worked hard and making great progress! Even one session made a difference. Proud of myself and happy with the clinic.

My physical therapist is awesome! She totally gets how I got there. A kind lady. I trust her.

Practical Advice for IBS

The following is extracted from an exchange with one of Jetsunma Ahkon Lhamo’s twitter followers:

Follower: Ah, I thought you had Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS), which I have.

Jetsunma: I do have both. Today was tough. Half and half.

Follower: Very sorry! Do you have any advice for others with IBS?

Jetsunma: Gentle fiber, small frequent meals, fresh aloe juice, Green Superfood. Fluids. No ibuprofen or aspirin. That is just what works for me. Who knows? Just know what makes me bleed, and stop.

Second Follower: boil chia seeds in water & drink immediately

Jetsunma: And center in your body. Commune with it. You’re in charge and yet are one.

The Guru Above the Crown of My Head

The following is from a series of tweets by Jetsunma Ahkon Lhamo:

I’m doing much better with my treatment. I’ve had, honestly, fear (from stalker) and stagnation locked up in my body. I’m working it hard so I can be strong for  Pema Kod. I’m determined.

We have so much power once we decide to change things. And I have, being the only one after all, who can. I am much stronger now, and grateful to the Bliss Gone Guru for answering prayers. Eh Ma Ho!

I’m not gonna stop. The Guru above the top of my head is my strength and safety. Who can doubt it?

Om Ah Hung Benzar Guru Pema Siddhi Hung!

Blessings Near and Far

The following is from a series of tweets by Jetsunma Ahkon Lhamo:

Today we had about 60 volunteers to clean up the Stupa land from earlier big storms. These are dedicated hikers who use the land and Stupas for meditation, fitness and recreation. The blessings are theirs to enjoy. We barbecued too. They love the land.

Speaking of land I’ve been invited to go to Yang Sang Pemakod on the border of Tibet/China and India in January.

This is on top of the world. This is the only image I have so far, will get more. It is truly Shangrila. Many great Lamas go for pilgrimage and it is a place of power and mystery. It is a place of power especially due to Guru Padmasambhava’s unfathomable blessing. At the level of The journey to Maritika Cave years ago. Worth it to see the Guru’s blessing so long ago. And now. Uninterrupted. We’ll have to find sponsors!

Now it is up to me to get strong and prepare. I don’t think I can turn this down. Soon the documentary will be up but the format must be changed I feel so blessed!

And here are the workers chowing down after a full day’s work. Way to go! Thank you all!

The Cycle Continues

The following is from a series of tweets by Jetsunma Ahkon Lhamo:

The Palyul Retreat in New York is on, and after a bumpy start is running smoothly. I will be going soon after a few days or a week of treatment and duties at KPC. But I look forward to going. I hope to teach one Saturday night there. I have much to share with this new sangha developing Since His Holiness Penor Rinpoche’s parinirvana.

Letting go of the old, helping the new birth itself. Such is cyclic existence. Round and round. Yet the cycle continues unstopped. Whatever results we are living now were born before. And on we go until we learn to think in full equations.

Blessings for All

The following is from a series of tweets by Jetsunma Ahkon Lhamo:

As you know KPC held a fabulous Web-A-Thon in Sedona for the Palyul Stupa and it was a great success, we have money for the Stupa land. And we’re still going. Sedona wants the Stupa kept as well and has helped us a lot. The value of the Stupa is becoming familiar to all. Really, something so precious yet exotic in this land is something special! Like a wish fulfilling gem it heals all.

When a Stupa is present the power is enormous and benefits all who do pilgrimage there. Please do visit!

Also we are steadily working on the Migyur Dorje Stupa to do cosmetic repair. We hope you will also do pilgrimage here. They are powerful and enormous!

On temple grounds we also have an Enlightenment Stupa for all to make progress on our path. Blessings for all.

Bring the sick, the needy and they will be blessed. Just get here! Even my doggie Rickey is getting better! There was no hope and here he is!

Opportunity…

The following is from a series of tweets by Jetsunma Ahkon Lhamo:

We don’t know what karmic causes make our current results. How difficult! Think, then, in full equations, apply general cures. Please be strong enough to accept responsibility for hurt you’ve caused and make restitution. It is weakness that prevents it.

Again, please join us in repairing the Stupas for all the benefit they bring! It is a rich experience to take advantage of, KPC and the Palyul Stupas!

And we need gardeners and help clearing land. Any offering helps.

Please bring canned goods and food you haven’t used. A day ago a nice lady came by and wiped us out to feed old folks. So we must set limits and ask that the actual people come in. The Temple itself is nourishing. Please be fair, and do share with all.

Take What You Need and Give What You Can

The following is from a series of tweets by Jetsunma Ahkon Lhamo:

I’m pleased to say we have dry and canned goods at KPC for locals that need it. All can take for their families and selves and give what they can. You need not go hungry or eat fast food. We do have dry beans etc with recipies on the bag. It’s not hard, I wish we could give more but law goes against spoilable foods. Ideas anyone? You needn’t be Buddhist, just hungry. Ordained first s best. Their ability to make money is limited. Come’n’ get it!
