The Sun and Mars travel in tandem today and people are a force to be reckoned with. It’s time to stand on your dignity, to know what you will and will not tolerate and to set the appropriate boundaries. Don’t nitpick during this critical moment. “You owe me $14 from last September,” is not the thing to say as the lines are drawn that end a partnership. Be as generous as possible in all your dealings. William Hazlin said, “To great evils we submit; we resent little provocations.” What’s good today? A new future that generates enthusiasm, an open door, cheerful conversation, exuberance replacing lassitude, and the energy to move forward!

It’s a happy, sunny time and a great day to push forward with your most ambitious project. Four planets in Leo practically guarantee success, provided you do not look outside yourself for counsel. It’s time for the leader to make decisions, not time for a community vote. Why? The best ideas reside in a single person and that one alone is qualified to direct others right now. Accordingly, send your most senior person to any meeting, not a junior associate. Napoleon Bonaparte said, “A leader is a dealer in hope.” An unsuccessful partnership is coming apart and it’s best to let it go, unless both sides are willing to change and compromise. Exciting opportunities present themselves suddenly, take them and don’t look back. If you feel that life is getting better, you are right.

The new moon in Leo marks a brand new time with brand new opportunities. Make a fresh start with whatever you’re doing and think big! The Sun, Moon and Mars in magnificent Leo urge you to put your best foot forward, wear your sharpest outfit and wow everyone! Wherever you go, go in style. This is a great day to shine, fly flags from the front door, watch parades, go to plays or musical performances. Danny Kaye said, “Life is a great big canvas, and you should throw all the paint on it you can.” Keep your eyes on your own activities and leave others to theirs. The only way to spoil this nice day is to compare yourself with others and hurt your own feelings.

Discuss your deepest feelings with others and you will be shot down. It’s best to remain in quiet, neutral territory. “Nice day, isn’t it?” Is a good response to, “How is your problem going?” A parade or display of importance should not be dismissed, congratulate a winner and compliment good behavior. Be as sensitive to others’ pride as you are to your own today. Frank A. Clark said, “Gossip needn’t be false to be evil-there’s a lot of truth that shouldn’t be passed around.” This is an excellent day to go for a drive, a picnic or a family reunion. If you’ve been under the weather or feeling weak, your strength returns. Time spent outdoors is excellent and conversation, letters, emails, texts and phone calls bring happiness. Reach out to those who matter to you!

Attention turns to domestic matters, shopping, cooking, home maintenance and organization. Sentimentality drives the agenda today. Careful thinking and planning lead to excellent decisions. This is a good day to broaden your perspective and to think outside your usual guidelines. Federico Fellini said, ” If ours is an apocalyptic time, it may promise a new beginning, rather than an end. A season of change does not mean the collapse of civilization.” Listen carefully to everyone’s ideas, let go of your cherished opinions, cook, eat and tell happy stories. This is a great day to gather with friends and to look your best.

Happiness is on the menu today, along with a cheerful mindset that helps offset the out-of-control tendencies of those in charge- who are incapable of restraining their own behavior. Wait out an explosion and take cheer in the fact that the baby has one final tantrum before slamming the door on the way out. Whew! A new stability comes as the day progresses and dignified, admirable behavior is noteworthy. It’s time to hold up the mirror to yourself: hold yourself accountable, behave your best, uplift any environment you’re in and take your eyes off other people. H.H.The Dalai Lama said, “To be aware of a single shortcoming within oneself is more useful than to be aware of a thousand in somebody else.” Yes! You are in the spotlight now, not somebody else. Behave!

Resist the urge to contact someone from your past and complain about bad treatment. Cancer is still nursing its wounds and time or distance is no object. Consider whether your current life is triggering this walk down memory lane: Handle a problem now and watch the negative rumination end. Do your best to maintain an upbeat attitude. Winston Churchill said, “Everything tends toward catastrophe and collapse. I am interested, geared up and happy.” A friendly, chatty atmosphere dials down the negative emotions and the determination to set a new standard with your speech changes your future.
Something you plan today will continue longer than you ever dreamed, so plan well.

Public figures, leaders and men are jumpy and quick to take offense today. The Sun and Mars travel together in Cancer and people who should know better are acting like babies having a meltdown. Commit yourself to being the adult in the room and pass out out reassurance, hugs and snacks. Be aware that the tantrum thrower will change soon, be all smiles and wonder why everyone is upset, at which point you may feel a tantrum coming on. Joseph Joubert said, “Children need models more than they need critics.” Charming Venus in Gemini lightens the mood with pleasantries, jokes, games, smiles and kind words. Shopping is excellent today, financial matters go well and a diplomat defuses a tense situation. If you can’t be that diplomat, at least don’t wear others out with your emotional venting.

Unexpected events and behavior are disorienting today and it’s best to avoid odd or unusual situations. A sudden, lightening-like strike can occur and you don’t want to be in the vicinity when it happens. Emotional upsets are everywhere and it’s best to assume an attitude of tolerance toward anyone in emotional distress. The Bible says, “Let reason go before every enterprise, and counsel before every action.” Kind, well-meaning speech is the savior of the day. Offer encouragement and consolation to others and mix in a bit of levity. Relationships are created and broken based on the quality of conversation today. Call, telephone, write and mix with the people whose company you value. The urge to shop and spend is strong but other issues are more pressing. Wait until tomorrow.

Take advice from a wise person, someone with the experience to point out the results of something you are about to do. If you don’t like what you hear, change plans. Emotion is still driving the agenda and a shock is possible if you act impulsively based on feelings. “I just felt like it!” is not an excuse for disruptive behavior. Jorge Luis Borges said, “Don’t talk unless you can improve the silence.” But talk is your friend today; happy talk that offers a light, favorable perspective on your issues. You don’t need encouragement for negative feelings, they are present in spades and should be ignored. An unhappy situation is drawing to a close, slowly, let it happen
