Feeling slowed down, as though you’re driving 30 mph in a 50 mph zone? Relax, you are recuperating from the past couple of weeks and it’s time to give yourself a break. Rest up, schedule down time, meditate during your coffee break and you’ll feel better soon. At issue is the plethora of details,
people and information you’re handling. A Spanish proverb says, “It is better to idle well than to work badly.” This is a good day to tend to medical issues, to shop, cook and eat, to engage in home renovations or purchase real estate. Call your relatives, it’s family time!

A friend gives the best advice you’ve ever heard, act on this counsel but do nothing on the basis of
your own personal hunches. Intuition fails you today and confuses your thinking. An intellectually proud person, someone who imagines him/herself smarter than others, is shot down. The more you talk and debate today, the worse your position becomes. Shakespeare said, “And often times excusing of a fault doth make the fault the worse by the excuse.” What’s good today? Listening, friendship, cooking, partnership and careful shopping.

This is a great day for groups and friendship. Get together with your posse but have no expectation of financial gain, that’s not the point of this gathering. If you plan to make a pitch skip it today, share information instead and make notes for the future. A definite partnership is forming and someone who was on the fence is now willing to commit. Samuel Johnson said, “If a man does not make new acquaintances as he advances through life, he will soon find himself alone.” Major plans for the future come in the form of simple ideas for change. Follow today’s thinking, it’s great. Watch out for emotional provocations that are meaningless but leave you feeling riled up. Do not act on upset feelings, when the emotion subsides you’ll be glad you held back.

A leader’s prestige is damaged by a sudden move that seems right but goes wrong. Do not stand on ceremony or hope for respect of this applies to you, just admit your mistake and move on. Defend yourself and it’ll get worse. Older people or those with problems need help now. Lend a hand and refrain from pointing out how they are responsible for their plight, unless you are asked. (“Did I do something to cause this?”) No rubbing salt in wounds today, you may be in the same position in the future. Homer said, “Victory often changes her side.” Conversation and the news is both interesting and irrelevant at the same time, and true progress comes from careful activity that lacks fanfare. Keep a low profile today.

Household projects and domestic matters are favored today. A sensitive response to a serious question succeeds where a casual, “Everything will work out!” pat on the back boomerangs and causes trouble. The current issue requires thoughtfulness and caution for best results and anything relating to health or fearfulness merits your fullest attention. Take others seriously, what they face is real, and ignore the tendency to offer platitudes where true knowledge is required. Cervantes said, “Fear has many eyes and can see things underground.” Define what your problem, discuss it with experts, and watch a solution appear. What’s good today? Beautification projects, healing interventions, pleasant surroundings and good food.

Happy times today! Good will and feelings of satisfaction prevail and combine with genuine forward motion. A partner is confused or uncertain about a matter that clears up with time. A lost or disrupted relationship comes back together after each side makes adjustments. Be careful about engaging in endless conversations that are time wasters and unrelated to actual outcomes. A group surges in popularity as its goals align with what is most needed. John Quincy Adams said, “Patience and perseverance have a magical effect before which difficulties disappear and obstacles vanish.” Use your emotional intelligence, your intuition, in things that matter most and watch everything fall into place!

The full moon brings out every bit of conversational and ideological exuberance you have. Be aware that you will be called on to explain your words later so avoid saying things you don’t actually mean. (“If this doesn’t go my way, I’m moving to Canada!”) Bags packed? Fyodor Dostoyevsky said, “The cleverest of all, in my opinion, is the man who calls himself a fool at least once month.” A serious decision comes late today, one that changes things, and you’re ready for it. A cheerful disposition solves problems and opens doors to new relationships. Follow your hunches and don’t let yourself be baited by words.

Conversation continues unabated, with news flying back and forth cheerfully. Join in! When someone wants to talk bear in mind that the interpersonal connection, not the information, is the point. Alliances are being formed and discussion is how it happens. Ohhh, now I understand! Henry David Thoreau said, “The greatest compliment ever paid me was when one asked me what I thought, and attended to my answer.” Venus is in charge these days and making friends is what matters most, showing others you care. You have many deeply held opinions, true, and today is the day to keep them to yourself!

Venus moves into one of the stable signs of the Zodiac, Taurus, encouraging you to relax, slow down and smell the roses. Satisfaction with what you have trumps chasing after something you hope to catch. This is a great relief. Intuitive wisdom tells you everything you need to know and if you feel you’ve gotten smarter, you have! Ralph Waldo Emerson said, “This time, like all times, is a very good one if we but know what to do with it.” A peaceful feeling of certainty makes this a good time to handle health issues, to engage in creative activities, to help others and to spend time near water. Love has never been better.
