Theme: A Lucky Afternoon

The part of fortune unites with the sun, our sense of purpose, this afternoon. This can bring some relief from Saturn’s restriction that continues for three more days. Today we turn towards organizing, cleaning and analysis. Yet the Moon in Virgo harmonizes with Uranus in Taurus. Expect the unexpected, and enjoy some change and excitement. Theme: Mars Unleashed

After 6 weeks in frustrating Libra (Mars doesn’t like to put others first), Mars has 6 weeks in one of it’s favorite signs, Scorpio. We can achieve more now because of a patient, unrelenting approach. This helps us bear the almost exact 90 degree challenge of Saturn to the Sun. We have to deal with a conflict between self-satisfaction and responsibility to others. Mercury, our thought and communication, is bolstered by Jupiter for a few days. This favors business dealings and a focus on religion, philosophy and foreign places. Only those who dare to fail greatly can ever achieve greatly. ~Robert F. Kennedy

Theme: From Surprises to Spirituality

Emotionally this not an easy day. In the first half of the day there is an unsettled energy that leads to surprises in our own and others actions. In the second half of the day there is a Yod with Neptune at the apex. This can confuse our thinking and challenge our emotions, but the potential for spiritual insight and growth is great. Neptune is retrograde for one more month, so the changes are internal and not likely to be expressed outwardly for now. Theme: Intense and Fixed

The energy setup from lunchtime to sundown (EDT) is prone to creating small crises, that play out as a conflict between our sense of purpose and our emotions. Saturn is also restricting us for a few days. Look to prayer, meditation and self care to help get through this period. There are fixed signs involved: Scorpio, Leo and Aquarius. Perseverance will pay off in a week or so. The pace 0f communication is back to full speed. The rest of the month is nice for socializing, and there are opportunities for financial gain. Theme: Lightening up

The Sun is passing through the heavy sign, Scorpio, but the Moon is in a strong position in light-hearted Gemini. In the first half of the day Moon harmonizes with Mercury, which gives a nice balance between our head and heart. In the second half of the day the Moon opposes Venus. This too is nice for our relationships, but watch out for over-indulgence.  Our desire for justice continues to conflict with our desire to overthrow the status quo. The tension will gradually lessen in the next few days. If an interesting monster can’t have an interesting hairdo I don’t know what this world is coming to. ~Bugs Bunny

Theme: Deep and Mysterious

Happy Birthday Scorpios! During this month long period we are all focused more on research, mysteries and sex, death and other peoples money. It is not easy for Scorpios to open up like many of the other signs. “Always thank a Scorpio for coming to get an astrology reading.” ~Debra Schneck. Their feelings towards others are deep, complex and mixed. Yet this is still a heavily air-sign time. The Moon in Gemini for a few days adds to our interest in socializing and gathering knowledge.

Theme: Struggle or Transformation?

The sparks will fly for several more days as the challenge between Mars, our conscious drive, and Pluto, our subconscious one, continues. It is easy to have disagreements on the local and global level. Today we are blessed as the Moon, our emotions, is stable in Taurus. But passions are high as Jupiter and Pluto are in the mix. It is a good day for working out an agreement, until the Moon goes void of course at 4:36 pm EDT until 3:58 am the next day. Trees that are slow to grow bear the best fruit. ~Moliere

Theme: Delusion or Wisdom

With the Moon and Neptune together in the middle of the day, we are all influenced by mystical energy. We will be more sensitive to the moods of others for better or for worse. Our imagination is enhanced, but will we be misled or mislead others? It is best to plan on some quiet time for prayer and meditation. Compassionate action should be carefully considered: does the person really want help crossing the street?  It is within the nature to reveal to yourself the place that is beyond conceptualization… underneath conceptualization… like the crystal under the dust. ~Jetsunma Ahkon Norbu Lhamo. Theme: Sentimental and Indulgent

The Moon is in Pisces for a few days. We have heightened sensitivity, and the potential to empathize with other sentient beings in general. With Venus at a challenging angle to Moon our emotions can be fixated on the past, and we can pursue comforts to excess. The Sun is separating from Mars now which makes patience come a bit easier. Jupiter will join Mercury on Monday in moving forward again, and soon achievements in the outward world will follow. Many people think that patience is a sign of weakness. I think that is a mistake. It is anger that is a sign of weakness, whereas patience is a sign of strength. ~H H the Dalai Lama

Theme: Mostly Nice

Two new “nice” aspects of the planets, Sun and Moon occur today. The Moon, our emotions, unites with the generous energy of Jupiter, and harmonizes with the Sun, especially in the first half of the day. Also Mercury and Venus are buddies for several days, which enhances our communication within our relationships. We still have to deal with potential power struggles.
