Theme: Joy and Nurturing

Mercury and Venus are both in Sagittarius now bringing joy to balance the seriousness of the Sun in Scorpio. At high noon the Moon unites with Ceres, the asteroid of nurturing others. This emotion oriented combination challenges Mars as the day goes on. Beware anger, and use meditation techniques to help. Neptune is also involved which can result in transcendence or delusion. Theme: Power to Make Changes

For the next month Pluto and Jupiter are synchronized in a 60 degree angle. This is a time of changes in the world that happen with our without our input. For those of us who are having impact on others now it is important to think of the greater good. Selfish plans will not work out well. Overall there is much more ease of energy than challenges today. The only outlier planet continues to be Mars, again indicating the futility of egotistic efforts. Theme: Mental Creativity

In many ways today is a continuation of yesterday’s strong spiritual potential. Today the asteroid, Pallas Athene, is added to the mix. This enhances any mental creative endeavor. The Moon is in it’s home sign, Cancer, for a few days. We will feel more secure emotionally. This is a good time to focus on the home and family. The Yod with apex Mars will give us more energy. Theme: Still and Mutable Water

Besides 4 celestial energies ( Sun, Mercury, Venus and the south node) in a still water sign, which runs deep, Scorpio, Jupiter and Neptune are in mutable water, Pisces. Now Venus is harmonizing with Neptune for two weeks. We can be caught in fantasy and illusions, especially in relationships or have great selfless acts of compassion. Theme: Subjectivity

For the next week Mercury, our thinking and communications, and the Sun, our sense of purpose, are united. This enhances our concentration, but makes it more difficult to be objective. The Moon has entered Aries for a few days making us quicker to react, and giving us more sense of urgency. Be aware that our Mars energy is still weakened by Neptune until the end of the month, unless we can turn towards prayer, meditation and compassionate motivation. Theme: The Unexpected and the Irritating

It can be a challenging day because we may have unexpected changes in our relationships. Or perhaps we just look for excitement in them. Especially in the middle of the day we are prone to rash action and irritability. Yet the Moon is in sextile to Pluto at the same time, supporting any desire to get deeply into any issue. Theme: Craving Excitement

Especially in the middle and second half of the day, we are looking for change in a nondisruptive way. This also a good time to try new things. Mars has joined 3 other planets by going retrograde, so generally it is not a powerful forward moving time until late January. Pluto, the transformer, and Saturn, the restrictor, are both moving forward, however. Will we continue with the status quo, or have some big changes in the next few months? Without leaps of imagination or dreaming, we lose the excitement of possibilities. Dreaming, after all is a form of planning. ~Gloria Steinem

Theme: Calm and Balanced
