Theme: Curiosity and Intelligence

There is a Yod today with Mercury at the Apex with Uranus and Neptune involved. We will have a restless curiosity today. Can we integrate our thinking and come away with some real intelligence? We will have to deal with our rebel side and our highest idealism. As the day moves on Mercury is squaring the Moon and Pluto, and compulsions and obsessions come to the forefront of our mind.

Theme: From Irritable to Expansive

Mercury, our thought and communication, is transitioning from Mars to Jupiter influences. The challenging square from Mars is easing and the trine from Jupiter is strengthening today. This is a good few days for planning and other intellectual pursuits. This is also a good time for business activity. And law, philosophy and religion are also favored.

Theme: Social and Indulgent

Especially in the middle of the day, the Moon is united with Venus, and they both harmonize with Mars. This favors all kinds of social gatherings. We can also assert ourselves in a way that is pleasant. There is danger if one goes shopping and has to stick to a strict budget. Easier to stay away from temptation until tomorrow. Arguments are still more likely than usual today.

Theme: Irritable and Defensive

For a few days Mercury, our thoughts and communication, is at cross purpose to Mars, our assertive tendencies. Watch out for being touchy and irritable with others. We may have to defend our point of view. This also makes accidents more likely. In the first half of the day, the Moon is square Pluto, which can trigger compulsive behavior, or this energy can be used for deep insight.

Theme: Subjective and Indulgent

For a few days Mercury is conjunct the Sun giving us less ability to think objectively, but more ability to focus on a task. The Moon square Venus, for the first half of the day. We are warm and generous but prone to having too much of a good thing. The outward 3 planets continue to be in harmonious aspect to each other, but all retrograde. Subtle but big changes continue to happen.

Theme: The Libra Scales

The Sun enters Libra just before mid day EDT. We all tend to be less decisive, (or do we?) for the next month. But happy birthday to all you gifted, charming Librans. This is a social and intellectual sign, but Mercury, our thought and communication remains in practical, analytical Virgo for a few more days. We have more inner balance than usual as the Moon is trining the Sun for much of the day.

Theme: Less Grounded

The grand trine in earth is still a stabilizing factor today, but there are 2 aspects that make us ungrounded. With the Sun opposed to Neptune we can be both confused and demoralized. Can we keep a healthy sense of self, and turn our compassion towards those in need? Mercury is also 90 degrees from Jupiter today. We are optimistic and can see the big picture, but should watch out for being sloppy with details, and being overbearing.

Theme: Grand Earth Trine

The Sun, Pluto and Uranus are all in earth (practical, sensual) signs today. And they make almost a perfect triangle in the sky, called a grand earth trine. There is a magnetizing energy about earth signs. And there should be ease in making both deep and sudden changes today. The Moon, indicating our emotions and subconscious, is exalted in the most earthy sign of all, Taurus, for a couple of days. This is a good time to feel emotionally connected with others.

Theme: Social Ease

With Venus, The Moon and Jupiter making an air grand trine for much of the day, there is a nice flow of social energy. At the same time this is a day we can be prone to overindulging. The Sun, our sense of purpose is still tied into Jupiter with a square angle which is mostly helpful, if we don’t take on to much. At least 3 planets stay retrograde until next February. This continues to be a time of subtle inner change.

Socializing reminds us that we are not alone in our experiences and challenges. ~Unknown

Theme: Cool but Intense

Especially in the first half of the day, we are prone to intense emotional experiences. But as the Moon enters Aquarius in the morning we are cooler and more detached at the same time. Mercury is sextile with Mars for one more day, which gives us an assertive quality to our communication and thought. The Sun and Jupiter are at a right angle. Do it now, but be careful not to overdo it!
