Theme: The Good Earth

There is a grand trine in earth signs, involving the Sun, Uranus and Pluto for the next several days. This is a time of stability within change: some change is sudden and some more gradual. Especially when Mercury moves forward again at 4:24 pm EDT today it is time to try new, exciting activities. The Moon is opposed to Neptune during the first half of the day, which indicates strange moods and misunderstandings, during Mercury retrogrades last hurrah.

Heaven is under our feet as well as over our heads. ~Henry David Thoreau

Theme: Nurture then Play

The Moon is in its home sign, Cancer until the middle of the day. This brings out the nurturer in us. And it opposes Pluto during the first half of the day, which leads to intense interactions with others. It is a hard time to see oneself and others objectively, but much can be learned in hindsight. Then in the second half of the day, the Moon enters Leo and it is time to enjoy play, and all forms of creative self expression.

Necessity may be the mother of invention, but play is certainly the father. ~Rodger Von Oech

The Moon is void of course today from 8:48 am until 12:37 pm EDT. Do not make any big decisions during this time period.

Theme: Breathing Space

Especially in the middle of the day the Moon sextiles the Sun, which gives us inner and outer harmony. With the Sun still trining Jupiter, this is a time to take action ( Mercury retrograde rules still apply) and not just rest on the easy feelings. We can see the big picture, and seem to create our own luck. Venus and Mars are also sextile which favors both new and existing relationships.

Feelings come and go like clouds in a windy sky. Conscious breathing is my anchor. ~Thich Nhat Hang

Astrology for 9/8/2023

9/8/2023 Friday by Jampal

Theme: Backwards

Just when one of the 6 (out of 8) planets, Venus, stopped being retrograde, Jupiter took it’s place. Now we can be more outgoing in our relationships, but more reflective in terms of religion, philosophy and long distant travel. Jupiter is harmonizing with the Sun and Mercury for a few more days. This is a very positive transit: we are generous, broadminded and optimistic in a way that helps us succeed at what ever we attempt.

The further backwards you can look, the further forward you can see. ~Winston Churchill

The Moon is void of course today until 1:01 am EDT. Do not make any big decision during this time period.

Theme: Slowdown and Savor

The Moon enters Taurus midday today. We should slow down and enjoy moments for the next few days. This is a time of emotional stability, and down to earth comforts. Venus, our relational energy, continues to retrograde in Leo. We should be generous and supportive, as we would like to be treated that way now ourselves. Continue to take advantage of the ability to think and communicate broadly.

The moment is not found by seeking it, but by ceasing to escape from it. ~James Pierce

The Moon is void of course today from 7:58 am until 11:01 am EDT. Do not make any big decisions during this time period.

Astrology for 9/2/2023

9/2/2023 Saturday by Jampal

Theme: Optimism

For several more days, we should take advantage of Mercury trine Jupiter, although the challenges of Mercury retrograde continue. Our thinking is broadminded, clear and optimistic. Business activity is favored, along with the study of religion, philosophy and law. Discipline is needed to take full advantage of this energy so do not kick back and relax too much. Take time to plan for the future but don’t start acting on the plans until the last two weeks of September.

What is enthusiasm? It is finding joy in what is wholesome. ~Shantideva

Theme: Mystical Morning and Practical Day

As the Moon unites with Neptune in Pisces early in the day, we can be extremely sensitive to others and reach deeper than normal places in meditation. Then the harmonious flow between Mercury and Jupiter is strong for a few days. This favors planning, organization, and all intellectual pursuits, with a down to earth style. Can we make enough effort to use this energy? The Moon moves into Aries by midday and this will support taking immediate action. An hour of planning can save you 10 hours of doing. ~ Dale Carnegie

Astrology for 8/27/2023

8/27/2023 Sunday by Jampal

Theme: Nice to meet you

With Mars moving into Libra today, the “me first” planet is frustrated to have to put others before him. But that is Libra’s style. So our Mars energy will be challenged for several weeks now. The middle third of the day will be more positive as Jupiter adds generosity to our spirit. In the evening sparks could fly if we don’t keep our patience.

There is no evil like hatred, And no fortitude like patience. Thus I should strive in various ways to meditate on patience. ~Shantideva

The asteroid Pallas-Athena unites with Mercury today giving us new found creativity. The Moon is in Capricorn for a few days which fosters ambition. Can we still be warm and nurturing to others? With so many planets harmonizing in earth signs there is an an ease in working on practical matters. Be aware of the changes that are happening on a global level. Take the opportunity to make changes now when times are easier.

Earth provides enough to satisfy every mans needs, but not every mans greed.~Mahatma Ghandi

Astrology for 8/25/2023

8/25/2023 Friday by Jampal

Theme: Transform your life

As Pluto and Mars continue to be in close harmony this flow of energy supports making positive changes. At the same time Neptune is draining our energy a bit and can contribute to deceitful action. Besides Mercury four other planets are retrograde. Generally, this is a time for research and finishing old projects. The time of year for starting anew is the upcoming winter and spring.

Change is inevitable, but transformation is a choice.~Heather Ash Amara
