Theme: Sudden Mood Changes

Because the Moon unites with Uranus for the morning to mid afternoon we will feel impulsive. Expect others around us to share the quick mood changes. We should think twice before doing anything very unusual, because we might regret it later. We don’t want others to restrict us now. Mercury is back in Sagittarius for 3 weeks which gives us a more optimistic outlook, but a tendency to be careless with details.

Theme: A Goat with Blinders on

The Sun enters the sign Capricorn early this morning, and is exactly united with Mercury in the early afternoon. The image for Capricorn is a goat ambitiously climbing. We have less objective perspective than usual. We do have the ability to focus our minds and achieve much today with a couple of caveats. Communication is difficult, and we should be especially open to others points of view. The Moon is in practical, beautiful and secure Taurus for a couple more days effecting our emotions in a positive way.

Theme: Isolation

Especially in the second half of the day, the Moon enters Pisces and is united with Saturn. We will tend to isolate and keep our thoughts and feelings to ourselves. Things will tend to look bleaker than they really are. We are either cut off from our emotions, or we find them too difficult to deal with. This will pass by the end of the day. Fortunately we still have the upbeat trine between Mercury and Jupiter to help our thinking be more positive.

Theme: Think Your Feelings

With the Moon in Aquarius for 2 more days, we are more scientific, detached and humanitarian than usual. We might also disagree with others just for the sake of being different. Because the Moon is making a square angle with Venus today we feel very sympathetic and protective of our loved ones. We need to remember to give them adequate freedom now. There is also a danger in overindulgence. Especially in the second half of the day, we have extra assertive energy to get things done.

Theme: Strong Feelings

Especially in the middle of the day we may have a powerful feeling that overwhelms us. Obsessive thoughts can also be very powerful. This is a potent day for insight into ones psyche, and close relationships will be prone towards jealousy. For the next week Mercury retrograde harmonizes with Jupiter retrograde. This is mostly positive for all mental endeavors, if we can apply enough self-discipline. Remember that for the next 2 1/2 weeks finishing old projects, and researching but not starting new ones is recommended.

Theme: Excitable

We should be cautious today because there is a tendency to be excitable and leap to conclusions. It is best not to make any decisive moves concerning our emotional life. This will be a volatile day to negotiate in our relationships. For another 2 days we have great capacity for enjoyment, but should watch out for overindulgence. The pace of events is slowing with Mercury retrograde starting at 2:09 am EST 12/13.

Theme: Ease and Indulgence Part 2

The Moon has united with Venus, opposed to Jupiter and sextile Mercury today. This enhances the emotional side of us to enjoy, indulge and relax. However with the Moon and Venus in Scorpio there is above average passion involved. This brings in some seriousness, and a desire to get to the bottom of whatever we are working on. We are moving into a more active season as we are down to two retrograde planets only, but this Mercury retrograde cycle will postpone the full active phase until the second week of January.

Theme: Ease and Indulgence

The combination of Mercury, Venus and Jupiter in close aspects brings ease to the mind but a tendency to overindulge. This is a break day from heavy, serious energies. It is a good time to make plans as we can see the big picture, but may not have the discipline to achieve much today. Although it is not a good day for following a diet, our relationships will have a generous spirit to them. So enjoy good company.

Theme: Intense and Changeable Relationships

We should try to find some peace within ourselves as our relationships intensify and change. It will be destructive to try and hang on to how a relationship has been. It continues to be a good time to see the flaws in our life situations, and to make corrections. But don’t lose perspective of the big picture. There is a Yod today with Mars at the apex. This indicates the need to make adjustments in our action plans for things to run more smoothly.
