Theme: The soft innards!

With Venus and Mercury now in the sign of Cancer expect more sensitivity and imagination, in equal measure, are on the rise. Cancer is a water sign so emotions fuel relationships and communications more than usual. Home in all it’s manifestations, and nurturing, are key themes. Cancer is the crab so the hard exterior others see can belie the inner reality. How will you break through your defensive shell? Theme: Mutability

With the Moon in Virgo today and a host of planets in Gemini, mutability is a major theme. The imagine is of water flowing around a rock, rather than meeting a situation head-on. It’s a good time for all sorts of writing and communicating. Attending to practical details and ones health is a strength of the Moon in Virgo, along with receiving nurturing through the earth. In contrast the energy of Gemini needs clean air to fully breathe – and talk!

Theme: Flexibility

With so many planets in Gemini (four to be precise) it’s a good opportunity to go with the flow and be flexible. The devil is in the detail so take care of details! Another feature of Gemini is integrating the light and dark, more hidden side of your nature. Acknowledging both parts can allow for more integration. The Moon in Leo shines a bright, more optimistic light on your activities today..

Theme: The heart of love

With the Sun and Venus still close together, by degree, it’s an opportunity to open the door to the heart. Opening that door enables transformation and has a flow on effect in the wider sphere of your life and also benefits others. Mars has moved into Taurus bringing a more earthy step-by-step approach to asserting and defending your territory. Taurus is ruled by Venus reminding us that if you add kindness to any equation it transforms the ‘I’ into ‘us’. The Moon is in Leo today bringing a new spark of confidence and creativity to the next couple of days.

Theme: Dealing with limitations

With the Moon square Saturn today you have restrictions and feel more isolated. It’s a good time to work within the restrictions yet find ways to stay connected, including connecting to the environment. It’s a great time to write letters and any kind of missive. Take the time to find ways you can lighten the load you bear by transforming your view.

Theme: To and Fro.

With the Moon in Gemini, joining Mercury, the Sun and Venus there are lots of points of contact today with communicating with one another, and clarifying those communications, and there are constant adjustments to changing circumstances. Elsewhere, Mars is still in Aries providing a fiery, warrior like energy to any need to defend or assert oneself. It’s a good placement for physical activity as long you you don’t push yourself beyond your limits.

Theme: Expanding the mind

With Jupiter conjunct Mercury it’s a great time to expand your view focusing on the betterment of humanity. That might seem like a big ask but Jupiter expands our view enabling us to think of others, while Mercury enables us to connect the parts in order to make the whole work. The test is not overdoing it. Also, even with the most difficult astrological aspects Jupiter and Venus are working in flow and harmony today, softening the most challenging of circumstances, and offering a silver lining.

Mercury slips into the sign of Gemini bringing an increased focus on communication and activities that conveys information swiftly. The Moon in Taurus slows the pace of intense Gemini activity, asking that we proceed slowly. Attention and care of the body is emphasized. Pluto continues its retrograde course making some of us feel like it’s Groundhog day.

Theme: Disseminating and contemplation

With the Moon in Pisces in the last quarter it’s a good time to tie up loose ends, finish and complete tasks. The Moon in Pisces provides nurturing waters for reflection and contemplation. As the Moon approaches Saturn, rather than turning away from others, turn to spiritual practices for insights. Diligence pays off. Beauty is a touchstone for upliftment at this time.

Theme: Harmony comes with view

With the Moon Void of Course most of the day it’s a time for tying up loose ends and not undertaking overly large projects. Small is good. Later in the day the Moon squares the conjunction of Jupiter, Venus and the Sun creating a tension that can inspire a search for more spaciousness and reflection on what is actually doable. At this time it is better pays to take small bites of the pie of life.

We may think that in meditation we have a lot to do. That’s why sometimes we say, I’m “doing” meditation. Actually there’s nothing to do. Just sit. ~Dzogchen Ponlop Rinpoche
