A setback is lurking nearby if you can stop talking long enough to notice. Inattentiveness is factor. People are busy having fun as a troublesome force slowly moves closer: it’ been coming for a while, you just didn’t fully recognize it: now you must deal with it. It’s time to say no to a love that isn’t working. The dream of what might have been dies hard but is over soon. Marcus Aurelius said, “The art of living is more like wrestling than dancing.” Get that problem into a headlock and throw it! Elsewhere, physical exercise and cheerful companions solve a million problems. This is not the day to isolate yourself and contemplate your navel.
