A subtle disconnect is irritating today. Big picture thinking is riddled with problems, and nitpickers are only too happy to point this out. Which side will you play? The head-in-the-clouds
enthusiast, or the balloon popper, the one who points out what won’t work? Try to see each other peoples’ perspective, try to be supportive of different ways of seeing things. Argue for the opposite side and watch your thinking expand. (“Yes, the moon is made of green cheese, because…”). Desmond Tutu said, “My father used to say, ‘Don’t raise your voice. Improve your argument.'” Excellent advice
today. An act of generosity is inspiring, and it’s starting to look like a long term project will come to completion. Keep working, even though you are tired of the job and distracted. The success and satisfaction that ensues is pleasing.
