You could feel discouraged early today. “Why bother, why am I trying so hard, it’ll never work!” could be running through your mind. But remember that Shunryu Suzuki said, “Life is like stepping onto a boat which is about to sail out to sea and sink.” Keep the big picture in mind, that your boat will in fact sink one day, but that you are here now. And you will be refreshed and happy in what you do. You will feel motivated and inspired to do your best when you have accepted the worst. Later in the day your mood lightens and you’re cheery again.
