Theme: The dark moon

In this dark balsamic moon phase where the Moon nestles behind the Sun it’s a time for going within, reflection, resting and review. The Moon is shedding its light in preparation for renewal on the 1st of November. Like a snake shedding its skin, the Moon and Sun in Scorpio, asks that we slough off tired, outmoded habits in order to prepare for a new cycle of renewal and beginnings. Theme: Insight

Mercury in Scorpio conjunct the Vertex increases synchronicity and creates the opportunity for significant encounters with others, heightening Mercury’s capacity for insights and making connections. Theme: Profound Struggle

With the Sun now in Scorpio the focus is on research and investigation including deepening insights into what motivates you. Having insight frees you from habits grip. Scorpio is ruled by both Mars and Pluto, planets of action, endurance and transformation. Scorpio is a water sign so feelings are part of what is illuminated at this time. The Moon is conjunct Mars in Cancer opposite Pluto, a potent mix. Strong feelings are triggered: patience and non-reactivity give you time for reflection.

Theme: Serious Thinking

Saturn is the Planet of the day as it trines with Mercury and squares the Moon. The former aspect indicates that this is a few days for critical thinking, and detailed work. This favors organizing and practical matters. The square to the Moon leaves us feeling isolated, and there is the danger of depression especially in the middle of the day. The Moon is in Gemini for two more days which should keep us from fixating on a particular mood.
