Theme: Excitable

We should be cautious today because there is a tendency to be excitable and leap to conclusions. It is best not to make any decisive moves concerning our emotional life. This will be a volatile day to negotiate in our relationships. For another 2 days we have great capacity for enjoyment, but should watch out for overindulgence. The pace of events is slowing with Mercury retrograde starting at 2:09 am EST 12/13.

Theme: Ease and Indulgence Part 2

The Moon has united with Venus, opposed to Jupiter and sextile Mercury today. This enhances the emotional side of us to enjoy, indulge and relax. However with the Moon and Venus in Scorpio there is above average passion involved. This brings in some seriousness, and a desire to get to the bottom of whatever we are working on. We are moving into a more active season as we are down to two retrograde planets only, but this Mercury retrograde cycle will postpone the full active phase until the second week of January.

Theme: Ease and Indulgence

The combination of Mercury, Venus and Jupiter in close aspects brings ease to the mind but a tendency to overindulge. This is a break day from heavy, serious energies. It is a good time to make plans as we can see the big picture, but may not have the discipline to achieve much today. Although it is not a good day for following a diet, our relationships will have a generous spirit to them. So enjoy good company.

Theme: Delving and Designing

With the Moon trine Pluto today you have the opportunity for emotional insights and investigating causes. Venus trine Saturn enables you to cement connections with others. The Moon in Libra brings a focus on beauty and design, not to mention diplomacy and decision making processes. With the Sun in Sagittarius you have to be especially mindful of the impact of your speech on others.

With the Moon opposite Neptune today there is a mirroring effect, whereby the world mirrors back to you the more mysterious, unseen parts of your psyche. It’s not a time to act but rather reflect on what you see. Avoid substances or situations that unmoor you from reality as this aspect alone opens the gates to other worlds. There continues to be opportunities to connect with deep love and caring for others with Jupiter opposite Venus. Mercury in Capricorn brings a discerning eye to contracts and the fine print.

Theme: Open Hearts, Open Minds

With a grand trine between the Moon, Jupiter and Mercury there is an openness today that brings more opportunity and more tolerance. The needle in the haystack is the that there will be someone that presses your buttons. Can you maintain equanimity and be bigger than your provocateurs’? Venus moves into Scorpio bringing an intensity to relationships: it’s also an opportunity to explore forgiveness.

I remember I went through a process quite naturally, even before I found Buddhism. Theme: Intense and Changeable Relationships

We should try to find some peace within ourselves as our relationships intensify and change. It will be destructive to try and hang on to how a relationship has been. It continues to be a good time to see the flaws in our life situations, and to make corrections. But don’t lose perspective of the big picture. There is a Yod today with Mars at the apex. This indicates the need to make adjustments in our action plans for things to run more smoothly.
