Theme: Expanding ideas

With Mercury moving into Sagittarius today you can open your eyes wider to see more around you to inform your ideas and vision. It’s a big picture time. The Moon moves into Libra, and along with Venus in Libra brings a focus on equality, justice, harmony and beauty. Friendship is another strong theme with Libra. The Libran energy serves as a counterweight to the Sun conjunct Mars in Scorpio which can signal war. Libran diplomacy can slow down aggression and offer alternate pathways.

Theme: Inner warrior

With the Sun closing in on Mars, forming a conjunction, the warrior energy comes to the fore. Rather than focusing on external combat you can chose to take advantage of this aspect by fighting the ultimate inner foe- the ego – that prevents us from being who we truly are. It is a time of heightened energy so more awareness is needed around physical activity. Venus moves into Libra today providing a counterbalance to times of conflict by seeking harmony and diplomatic solutions in challenging situations.

Theme: Reflecting

The Moon moves into Virgo today bringing a down to earth focus and attention to details, and animal themes and gardening subjects are engaged. Venus is trine Pluto providing strength in relating to others and fortitude in dealing with difficulties. Saturn opposes the Moon today inviting self-discipline and patience in dealing with immoveable situations. Your communications can tap into other worldly-themes and spiritual contemplations.

Theme: Intense Emotional Expression

Venus harmonizes with Pluto for several days. Besides intense emotional expression we can be come more aware of the inner workings of our minds in regards to our relationships. Be aware that the current strong, compulsive aspect in a relationship will wear off when the energy separates. Intense mental activity continues for one more day, and the Sun is approaching a union with Mars. This is energizing but can lead to strong wills and conflicts.

Theme: Nervous or Excited

Mercury is exactly (to the nearest minute!) opposed to Uranus at 12pm today where I create the chart for the readings. This has both positive and negative possibilities. We can have unusual insights and our brain works extra quickly. But we can be nervous and scatterbrained. Expect blunt speech and sloppiness as well. The Moon has entered Leo for a few days. It is a good time to focus on creative self expression.

Theme: Soft and Serious

The Moon in gentle, secure Cancer harmonizes with Venus for much of today. This energy supports love and friendship in our relationships. At the same time the Sun, Mars and Mercury are loosely connected in the serious sign, Scorpio. This is time to get to the bottom of any issues that we face. The Sun is tightly opposed to Jupiter. This makes us upbeat and generous, however we can go overboard with anything we do now.

Theme: Expansion

With trines and sextiles prominent today there is more flow to activity: you can see the light at the end of the tunnel if you focus in the right direction. With the Sun and Moon in water signs you can tap into compassion for yourself and others more easily, knowing that everyone is suffering in their own way. Scorpio Sun gives fortitude and determination to stay the course while Moon in Cancer gives us the nurturing sustenance of our family, whatever that looks like for you.

Theme: Finding the ignition

With an absence of planets in cardinal or fire signs there is less spark to start things. However, with the Moon Void of Course most of the day reinforces that it’s a good time to progress projects you’ve started. The square aspect between Neptune, Moon and Venus increases focus on how the motivation underlying our emotional responses to others isn’t clear. It’s a good day to contemplate cause and result. The disseminating moon phase signals a time of absorption and reflection following the full moon.
