Theme: Nurture then Play

The Moon is in its home sign, Cancer until the middle of the day. This brings out the nurturer in us. And it opposes Pluto during the first half of the day, which leads to intense interactions with others. It is a hard time to see oneself and others objectively, but much can be learned in hindsight. Then in the second half of the day, the Moon enters Leo and it is time to enjoy play, and all forms of creative self expression.

Theme: Breathing Space

Especially in the middle of the day the Moon sextiles the Sun, which gives us inner and outer harmony. With the Sun still trining Jupiter, this is a time to take action ( Mercury retrograde rules still apply) and not just rest on the easy feelings. We can see the big picture, and seem to create our own luck. Venus and Mars are also sextile which favors both new and existing relationships.

Theme: Backwards

Just when one of the 6 (out of 8) planets, Venus, stopped being retrograde, Jupiter took it’s place. Now we can be more outgoing in our relationships, but more reflective in terms of religion, philosophy and long distant travel. Jupiter is harmonizing with the Sun and Mercury for a few more days. This is a very positive transit: we are generous, broadminded and optimistic in a way that helps us succeed at what ever we attempt.

Theme: Sitting with both comfort and disquiet

The Sun makes a lovely aspect to Jupiter buoying you up and moving you up out and clear of gremlins clouds. However with the Moon square Neptune you still fear the gremlins are coming to get you! The antidote for fear is courage. It also helps to calm your mind and find sufficient rest time to replenish. Fears diminish when you’ve had enough sleep! The Moon moves into Cancer later in the day reminding us that home is where the heart is.

Theme: Stay focused and relax

The Moon is in good aspect to Venus today bringing a calmness to the latter part of the day. You have more energy and insights today – and can make connections between ideas more easily. There is however, a tension in finding a balance between your daily routine, and the need for stability, and your long range goals to achieve your purpose. There is a preponderance of planets in earth and water signs which enables real practical outcomes to projects that have altruistic goals.

Theme: Movement

The Moon moves into Gemini and trines Gemini’s ruling sign of Mercury, bringing fresh ideas and impetus to projects. If you are able to link into the aspects the Moon makes with the outer planets – Uranus, Neptune and Pluto – you can also harness larger resources for purposes that seek to improve the well being of the collective. It’s no easy mission with Saturn square the Moon, but the rewards are great if you can stay the course.

Theme: Grounding

A preponderance of planets in earth signs signifies it’s a time for actions – not procrastinating. The earth element helps ground us if we’re prepared to move forward otherwise it can feel like being stuck in the mud. There are opportunities to see the bigger picture today and have more emotional insights. Jupiter goes retrograde today until December, signaling that it’s good to take time to think and analyze your plans concerning finances, education, humanitarian efforts and travel. Jupiter retrograde still continues to benefit us – but invites us to slow down down and consider before moving ahead. It will save time later.

Theme: Slowdown and Savor

The Moon enters Taurus midday today. We should slow down and enjoy moments for the next few days. This is a time of emotional stability, and down to earth comforts. Venus, our relational energy, continues to retrograde in Leo. We should be generous and supportive, as we would like to be treated that way now ourselves. Continue to take advantage of the ability to think and communicate broadly.

Theme: Optimism

For several more days, we should take advantage of Mercury trine Jupiter, although the challenges of Mercury retrograde continue. Our thinking is broadminded, clear and optimistic. Business activity is favored, along with the study of religion, philosophy and law. Discipline is needed to take full advantage of this energy so do not kick back and relax too much. Take time to plan for the future but don’t start acting on the plans until the last two weeks of September.
