Feeling super-serious, as though you must make your mark on the world or be called a failure? The urge to climb the ladder of success drives people today. Try to wait the feeling out. It’ll pass and you’ll feel better. A judgmental energy is here and people are evaluating themselves with a worldly yardstick. “I’m a failure because,”(supply your own reason for being a failure) is what everyone’s thinking. Dee Hock said, “The problem is never how to get new, innovative thoughts into your mind,
but how to get old ones out.” As the day progresses, friends and groups appear and change the scene. A happy conversation and an offer of partnership may come. An animal or a work project brings love and fun into the picture. Harry Elliott said, “Let a man do his job.” Don’t micromanage others, trust them. A woman behaves in a surprising manner. Look to see if she is ill or needs help. Samuel Johnson said, “The applause of a single human being is of great importance.” As the day progresses the atmosphere changes, and a misunderstanding occurs. Talk things over carefully to be certain your understanding is correct. A major breakthrough in work occurs today. What’s good? Happiness, love, and progress in important matters.

Do, however, pay attention to your surroundings and get out of the way of hard working people. The image of someone chatting obliviously in the path of a large bulldozer describes the possibility of trouble. Norman Cousins said, “Wisdom
consists of the anticipation of consequences.” In spite of all the progress, this remains a tricky time and danger lurks just below the surface. Pay attention and you’ll be safe.

A leader continues to perform semi-miracles; stand back and watch the fun. Or else step up and perform a few yourself. Success comes as a direct result of careful planning, research and attention to detail. It’s not possible to bluff your way through, so don’t try- the unprepared are sent to the back of the line. Once the job is finished a serious time turns silly, providing relief. Relax and enjoy the fun, but don’t lose sight of your goal. Under no circumstances should you jump the gun and celebrate before the job is done! A Zen proverb says, “When your reach the top, keep climbing.” Good things today include an agenda that is succeeding, self confidence that won’t quit, an indomitable will to move forward, and a goofy sense of fun!
