A subtle disconnect happens today between emotions and work.  One side says “Let’s go out and save the world!” and the other side says “I have to balance my check book and change the tire on my car.”  If you’re feeling testy, notice the conflicting emotions.  File away the urge to do something big and attend to the small things today.  Otherwise you won’t do anything except feel frustrated.  Gently side-step people who engage you in lengthy philosophical or political discussions. And don’t do this to others.  Wasting time is the danger today.  Jack Kornfield said, “We need a repeated discipline, a genuine training, in order to let go of our old habits of mind and to find and sustain a new way of seeing.”  A work project is going amazingly well.  Keep plugging away and you won’t be led astray.
