Dreamland!  You’re in it!  This is a great day to go to the movies or watch TV when your work is done; attend parties, socialize, swim, etc.  But the desire to escape is strong, and the constant chatter of the times causes “brain freeze.”  People are forgetting things, walking distractedly into the street and staring in the same direction for lengthy periods of time.  The urge to keep talking is overwhelming, and the discussion has become more heated.  Be aware that people are tired and can’t listen anymore.  Stop talking!  But the talkers can’t stop, alas.  A vow of silence would be good today.  But the fear that the other person would best you if you remain silent haunts you.  So you forget things instead.  What’s good?  Anything that doesn’t involve talking or communicating!  Spend time at home or with family.  Eat a good meal.  Adlai Stevenson said, “In quiet places, reason abounds.”
